Admissions Timeline The Brown School accepts one cohort each year for admission for the fall semester only. Both Master’s and Doctoral applications open annually on September 1. Master’s Application Deadlines Applications for are accepted on a modified rolling basis; however, applicants are strongly encouraged to apply early. Early Review Deadline:  Apply by December 1. Applicants completing by the early review deadline will receive first consideration for admission and scholarship. Early review decisions will be released no later than February 1. Priority Review Deadline:  Apply between December 2 and March 1. Applicants completing by the priority review deadline will receive priority consideration for admission and scholarship. Priority review decisions will be released on a rolling basis, within 6 – 8 weeks of application completion. WashU 3-2 applicants: Apply early in the spring semester of junior year and no later than March 1 so that fall coursework can be considered. After March 1: Admission and scholarship decisions are made based on availability until the following deadlines. International Applicant Final Deadline – April 1 Domestic Applicant Final Deadline – June 1 Admission Offer Response: Admitted students must respond to their offer of admission by May 1 (or within 3 weeks if admitted after April 15). A non-refundable $200 tuition deposit is required to accept admission and confirm intent to enroll. International students must be prepared to immediately submit the Washington University Affidavit of Financial Support to complete their intent to enroll. Some scholarship offers may require accelerated responses from candidates. Doctoral Application Deadlines Applications to our doctoral programs must be completed by December 1.  The application must be submitted, and all required materials, including letters of recommendation, must be received to be considered complete. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Decisions will be announced by early March. Admission Offer Response: Admitted students must respond to their offer of admission no later than April 15. Federal Student Loan & FAFSA Timeline Domestic students who are U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or wishing to be considered for Federal Financial Aid (work-study and student loans) should complete the (FAFSA) for the appropriate academic year as soon as it is available. Students will need their most recent tax return, Federal Student Aid ID, and WashU’s school code of 002520. Graduate students file as independents and no parent application is needed. Once a student’s FAFSA has been processed and a student has confirmed their intent to enroll, the Brown School Office of Student Financial Services will provide a financial aid package, which will include loans and any federal work-study.
